Aleksey Shadrin & Salih Can Gevrek

• Aleksey Shadrin (Cello)

Cellist Aleksey Shadrin, who was a member of the Kronberg Academy Master Program, was born into a family of musicians in Ukraine. Following his early successes in numerous competitions, including the National Ukrainian Competition for Strings in Lvov/Lemberg and the 8th National Ukrainian Competition “New Names” in Kiev, he became in 2004 a scholar of the International Foundation of violinist and conductor Vladimir Spivakov. In 2016, he made his debut appearance at the Berliner Philharmoniker. In 2017, he appeared as a soloist with the NDR Radiophilharmonie with Andrew Manze in the Grosser Sendesaal in Hannover, and made his debut appearance at the Hamburg Chamber Music Festival. Aleksey Shadrin received his Bachelor and Master of Musical Arts at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hanover with Prof. Leonid Gorokhov. Since September 2020, he’s an Artist in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, studying with Gary Hoffman. 

• Salih Can Gevrek (Piano)

Salih Can Gevrek, born in Turkey, began piano lessons at the age of 5. He was accepted into the prestigious Bilkent University Faculty of Music and Drama Preparatory School in Ankara at the age of 7. He continued his studies at Bilkent University with Gulnara Aziz until 2011 when he was accepted into the Royal College of Music London. He recently completed his Artist Diploma at Royal College of Music with Dmitri Alexeev and he has been accepted to Queen Elizabeth Music Chapel as an `Artist in Residenece` with Louis Lortie. His achievements in international competitions started from age 10 when he was awarded a prize in the Eskisehir Anadolu University International Young Pianists Competition. Salih has performed in masterclasses with renowned pianists including Dmitri Bashkirov, Boris Berezovsky, Menahem Pressler, Leonid Margarius, Lars Vogt, Louis Lortie, Edna Golandsky, Ozgur Aydin and Idil Biret.
