ABOUT THE ARTISTS
- François Joubert-Caillet
François Joubert-Caillet trained with Paolo Pandolfo at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Basel, Switzerland). In 2009, he founded L'Achéron, taking it to the European stages of Saintes, Ambronay, Utrecht, Paris, Brussels, etc. in various formations, from viola da gamba recitals to orchestra, to viol ensemble. He records for the Ricercar label with whom he has released a dozen albums. Wishing to highlight the music of little-known composers (Johannes Schenck, Anthony Holborne, Samuel Scheidt, Orlando Gibbons, Johann Bernhard Bach, Philipp Heinrich Erlebach), he also invites us to listen to an already known musician, Marin Marais, whose Pièces for Viola he has recorded since 2014 (5 books, about 600 pieces, about 20 albums).
- Yoann Moulin
Yoann Moulin began his musical training at the Maîtrise de Caen where he discovered the harpsichord. He continued his studies at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris. At the same time, he discovered the clavichord, the organ and improvisation. Yoann Moulin has since played in recitals and chamber music throughout Europe. He also accompanies groups such as Le Concert Spirituel, Ensemble Clément Janequin, L’Achéron and La Tempête. In 2017 he founded the ensemble “La Ninna”, which explores a more intimate and interior chamber repertoire. He has also participated in several recordings for the Alpha, Ambronay and Château de Versailles Spectacle labels. He now records for the Ricercar label for whom he has begun a recording series devoted to German keyboard music.
