ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Formed in 2015 through the meeting of four young musicians – Kyoka Misawa, Rintaro Kikuno, Itsuki Yamamoto, and Ye Un Park – Quartet Integra has embarked on an artistic journey that, in just a few years, has brought them to some of the world’s most prestigious stages. Trained at the Toho Gakuen School of Music and guided by Kazuhide Isomura, the quartet has stood out for its remarkable cohesion and a sonic palette described by All News Press as “an enormous wealth of colors… and sparkling rhythms.”
Awarded Second Prize and the Audience Award at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 2022, the group has also received First Prize at the Bartók World Competition and top honors at the Akiyoshidai Music Competition. Their artistry has been further recognized by the Accademia Chigiana and the Kirishima Festival.
From the Kennedy Center to the Alte Oper Frankfurt, with appearances in La Jolla, Florence, Naples, and Tokyo, Quartet Integra has captivated audiences with their refined interpretations of both classical and contemporary repertoire. In May 2025, they launched an ambitious six-year Beethoven cycle tour across Japan. Currently ensemble-in-residence at the Colburn School in Los Angeles and supported by the Matsuo Foundation, the quartet are passionate ambassadors of new music, having premiered over a dozen works by Japanese composers. Their journey continues to evolve shaped by memory, discovery, and inspiration.
